The Issues

Jobs & the Economy

Over the past four years serving on the Aurora Council, Danielle has brought a fresh perspective that has put people over politics and expanded opportunities for all Aurora families – without raising taxes. She continues to have a focus on helping businesses thrive because she, too, is a successful small business owner and entrepreneur. She knows firsthand what it takes to live within a budget, make payroll, and successfully grow a business. She also believes that the City of Aurora is losing a lot of revenue and jobs to neighboring cities.

"I believe that we should work to build our communities. We should have more options, more stores at our Aurora mall and Southlands Mall. We are losing all of those jobs and city revenue to the likes of Park Meadows and other shopping plazas. Retail theft has hit our community hard, and we are working toward rebuilding and filling the vacant storefronts in our community. An entertainment district and a designated downtown area is something else I’d like to see in Aurora. A big help will be for Aurora to continue on the path of being one of the most business-friendly cities in the state and continue to lower the crime rate—and I intend to continue to fight for that!”

Public Safety

A top priority for Danielle has been fighting for a stronger, safer Aurora while bridging the gap between the citizens and law enforcement. Danielle is a veteran, former military police officer, and Aurora native who is deeply invested in our community. The experience she has gained serving on the Public Safety Committee and her background make her uniquely qualified to continue rebuilding mutual respect and trust between law enforcement and our growing community so that together, we can continue to move toward a safer and brighter future.

“During my time on the Aurora City Council, I have prioritized public safety and the support of our first responders. As I watch my son play on many of the same streets that I played on as a child, it is my mission to ensure a safer community for all Aurora families. The people of Aurora have the right to be heard and feel safe. I will continue to have hte tough conversations at the table and demand accountability for the people of Aurora.”

Taxes & Fees

Danielle isn’t a politician; she’s a job creator and a single mom who works hard to live within her family budget and believes the government should do the same. In the past four years, Danielle has fought to successfully end burdensome taxes and fees on the people of Aurora.

“I strongly believe that Americans should be able to keep most of the money they earn. I will continue to fight back against any increases that take more money away unnecessarily from hard-working Aurora families. I will continue to fight to lower existing taxes and fees for the people of Aurora.” -Danielle Jurinsky

Revitalizing Neighborhoods

Investing in ALL Aurora communities is a top priority for Danielle. Local residents know what's best for their neighborhood, and unlike politicians, Danielle will continue to listen to those needs. She has been committed to enhancing local community pride, beauty, and opportunity through investments, programs, and policies that support our neighborhoods and put citizens first.

Being an Aurora Native my pride for our city is second to none! I believe in my hometown and the opportunity here. It doesn't matter where you come from or how much money you have. I believe Aurora is where you have a chance to live out the American dream, and I will always fight to ensure equal opportunity for all!” -Danielle Jurinsky
