Danielle Jurinsky
Aurora City Council At-Large
Danielle Jurinsky truly loves her hometown of Aurora Colorado. It’s where she was born and raised, graduated from high school, attended community college, served our country, started her businesses, and is raising her son.
She is a hard worker.
Danielle started her first job here in Aurora at the young age of 14 and had two jobs by the age of 15 to help her single father pay the bills. After proudly graduating from Overland High School, Danielle joined the Air Force and served our nation honorably for 9 years in the Air National guard. She served most of her time in Aurora at Buckley Air Force base.
Danielle is a single mom, successful business owner, and proud veteran.
Her focus has been on raising her son and running her businesses – not politics – but she has had enough of out-of-touch politicians and answered the call to duty one more time by running for Aurora City Council. Danielle will be a courageous voice for We the People, who are too often forgotten by today’s politicians.
“I did not make the choice to run lightly. I’ve been meeting with citizens all across our city for months and hearing many of the same complaints - families feel less safe, people and businesses are struggling, and politicians aren’t listening. I’m getting off the sidelines and am going to do something about it; I am going to fight for Aurora!” -Danielle Jurinsky
She is motivated by her background
Danielle's family holds a true “Fiddler on the Roof” story. Her paternal family fled religious and communist persecution in Russia. Her great grandfather came first to the United States and worked for 10 years before he could bring his wife and child over from Poland - just before Hitler's rise to power. They came through Ellis Island speaking no English and had very little education. Danielle's paternal grandmother came through Boston from Russia. Her maternal side has been in America since before the revolutionary war and started as farmers in Pennsylvania. Her maternal grandfather is a highly decorated hero and 3-time war veteran.
She is invested in our future.
Her five businesses support nearly fifty jobs as she invests in her employees and helps to fuel Aurora's economy. As a business owner, Danielle can empathize with her fellow local job creators, who are too often targeted by politicians with burdensome regulations and tax increases. She’ll bring a new perspective and passion to our City Council and will fight for you – hardworking taxpayers and families – not special interests.
Danielle currently serves on the Citizens Budget Advisory Committee for Aurora, where she has gained first-hand knowledge and an understanding of the city budget and revenue.
She will bring real-world experience to the council and will fight for ALL of Aurora – no matter where in the city you live, or what political party you follow.
