Accomplishments

Highlights from Danielle’s four years on the Aurora City Council:

• Supported the Camping Ban—helped secure the Homeless Navigation Center for Aurora

• Supported the Motor Vehicle Theft Ordinance

• Sponsored the Retail Theft Ordinance

• Sponsored the Repeal of the Occupational Privilege Tax

• Secured $1.7M for the Aurora Animal Shelter

• Supported ending unnecessary fees on local businesses

• Supported “Build Up Aurora” project (road repair)

• Helped bring multiple developments and businesses to Aurora

• Approved Retention Bonuses for the Aurora Police, Aurora Fire Departments, and Jail Detention Workers

• Supported Mandatory Vehicle Impound Ordinance

• Danielle currently serves on the Public Safety Committee, the Planning and Economic Development Committee, and the Federal and State Policy and Affairs Committee. Before getting elected to Aurora City Council, Danielle served on the Citizens Budget Advisory Committee, where she gained first-hand knowledge and an understanding of the city budget and revenue.
